Now that I have got everyone thinking in service mode, I'd thought
I'd think long-term for a bit. (y'know, first we warmed up the brain,
now for some exercise...;)
First of all, more summer stuff:
INTRO TO SONO ARTS VOLUNTEERING (Aug 5 - 7)
PC: ???
The stuff Jeff has been sending mail about. Opportunities to be creative
with children (heh heh heh) among other things. There are writeups about
it in the office if you are interested; it sounds like fun. HOWEVER, *I*
am not going to PC this, so if you want it to happen, PC.
SERVCOMM
Yeah, I'm going to try this again. Mainly because I think the chapter
wants a lot of projects, and I want to pass my classes. =) so if you
are interested in learning what it takes to be an SVP, let me know.
Or if you are a former SVP who is interested in helping the current
SVP, let me know. Or even if you don't fall into either of these
categories, let me know. =)
Fall Stuff:
CITY DAYS (Sept 2)
PC: ???
We can either go on a pre-arranged service project (read: REALLY
EASY), or we can entertain kids for a day (harder, but it's a people
project =). This would probably be cool for someone who is new at
PCing projects (hi there, ye of my children), but hey, I'll take
anyone. =)
REG DAY (Sept 6)
PC: Hannah, with help from Dave
The old standby. Reserve this day in your calendar; it isn't gone yet!
BOOK EXCHANGE (the next week)

OPEN PROJECTS (Sept 10, 17, 18, 24)

Here's where I'd love to employ ServComm...If you are psyched to PC
an open project, come help me find one! =) (of course, if you are
psyched to PC but really scared about finding a project, I won't
turn you away. =)

Y'know, it will be a lot easier to do this if you start early. =)
