Hello, APO members:
My name is S.K. Shin and I am a blind Graduate student at Sloan
School. I have been looking for readers for this semester. The Dean's
Office does pay students to read me my study materials. I know that APO
is a service organization and I am wondering if you could help me in a
couple of ways. Firstly, I need to do a campus-wide advertising of this
reading position. If someone at the APO could help me post my ad at
various locations on the campus, that would be greatly appreciated.
Secondly, if some of your members could help me out in reading some of
my materials on tapes, that would also be appreciated. APO helped me
out a great deal a few years ago when I arrived in Cambridge for the
first time. I am wondering if some of you are interested in helping me
out again. Depending on the individual's prior experiences and
qualifications, the pay can be negotiated but the base rate is somewhere
around $7+ per hour.
I am looking forward to your responses and thanks so much in
advance for your help....
