Hey!
Theres another exciting opportunity for APO brothers to get our name out to
incoming freshmen!
One of the orientation events is the 'boston T party" themed around the
various T stops of Boston. I would really like to do something at this
event, but I need an enthusiastic PC and committed volunteers. The PC would
be in charge of finding an activity for us to do with frosh and getting
volunteers to help out. Dorm Rush is over by the time this event is
happening, so you won't be busy with that!
here are my thoughts on what we could do
-more silkscreening?
-show off the little press
-bring games and comics for something more chill.. meh
-mini project, like quilting
-do a mini-building project. something like cat shelters? Irene (or Vlad)
can you think of any projects we could do like this?
I really like the idea of doing a mini-project. It'll really show the
freshmen what APO's about, and give them a sense of satisfaction in actually
doing something that's going to help someone.
we'd need a T stop. uhhh, this would probably depend on what activity we
were doing. I think that we should choose one based off a stop near a
frequent service project, like Symphony for the braille press (esp if we
bring our press) or ruggles/roxbury/whatever (?) for the old
bikes-not-bombs, or something else like that.
thoughts?
