Administrative notes:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Start: 7:30 pm; End: approx. 10pm. Present: Kate, Kevin, Dave,
Henning, Barbara, Ezra, Yale, Joe, Bert, Rachel, Christine, Bridget,
Ping, Cathy, Hannah, LeaAnn, Harry, Jeffrey, Ann, Amy
Officers' reports:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
SVP (Bridget): I have PC's for all the remaining projects of the
term. Barbara will take over soon.
MVP (Barbara): Voting is happening. Vote early; vote often. Voting
will end at 6pm on Sunday (probably until 8pm when I will be
free). Big brothers should start checking out little brothers'
whereabouts at the time of Neophyting as soon as the outcome
of the ballots are out.
AVP (Kate): I printed out all the minutes for archiving purposes. I'll
finish the paper work for reserving Walker for the PMD party
in June.
Treasurer (Kevin): We have a schmuck. You should write ideas of
giving out silly awards to him. Dave took $55 from executive
discretionary for the schmuck to spent on the awards. I filled
out the signature form for checking accounts. Henning will be
away for a while and I will be the treasurer until he comes back.
We are keeping money in the strong box again [as the key to
the strong box will be safely kept in the safe.] Let brothers and
pledges know where the strong box is.
FC (Ann): Initiation will be 6pm on Fri May 6 at 26-210. I-Banquet
will start at 7:30pm at 100 Memorial Drive. Help Dave cook!
APOcEd (Amy): not present
ASC (Traci): not present
PubDir (LeaAnn): I have started a folder of random tips for the
future PubDir's.
Historian (Dima): not present
Advisory Comm. Chair (Joe): I'll see if I can come to I-banquet.
President (Dave): Write your outgoing reports!
Committee reports:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Christine: Joe is making progress in the hobby shop. Will have no
problem finishing in time. As far as silkscreening goes, I haven't
had access to the key to the room all week. Until it comes back,
I can't do anything. We're trying to be finished on time.
Rachel: We are planning to do some summer silkscreening runs. Talk
to me about it.
Incoming Officers' reports:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
SVP (Barbara): I'll find a calendar.
MVP (Dave): Plan is to sleep, take finals, revise pledge manual in
June and Membership Committee (MomComm) soon.
AVP (Gilbert): Sign up for summer mailing list. Do people want
a list "apo-summer" or I could use "apo-pftgoto"? [General
response: apo-summer] New officers should sign ASA officer list.
Treasurer (Henning): nothing to report
FC (Rachel): Looking for PC's for SF, SFF, I-banquet.
APOcEd (Bert): nothing to report
President (Kate): Start to think about summer ExecComm dates,
first one being May 18, last day of finals.
New Business:

Budget
Meeting participants briefly discussed and approved the budget to be
proposed at I-banquet.
Pledge Requirements and Voting Policy
Dave: I have no intention to change the pledge requirements and
voting policy.
Yale: It is a good idea to have an Apoc article halfway through the
term to ask pledges to discuss about the pledge requirements.
Kate: We had the Pledge Term Review Meeting this past Saturday.
Cathy, Hannah, Jeff: It's hard to complete the requirements by Pledge
Term Review Meeting.
Cathy, Hannah: We lost the first month because we pledged late.
Have more time to go to projects by the end of the term anyway
[for some].
Barbara: We could have a revised [smaller] set of requirements for
pledges to complete by PTRM.
Dave: Brothers have advantage for going to early projects thus Broth-
erhood Expectation is not a problem. It is a problem if PTRM
is in the middle of the term for pledges.
Christine: By PTRM, people will know how busy they will be for the
rest of the term and will make commitment to projects/PC'ships
for the rest of the term.
Pledge Requirements approved to be proposed at I-banquet.
Scheduling
Kate: Chapter meeting day straw poll: 1 officer against Wed., 2
meeting participants against Tue. Wait until I-banquet.
[the following are bits of discussion that don't connect, because the
AVP tries to exclude the noise from the minutes.]
Barbara: We should give pledges more than 8 weeks to receive infor-
mation about APO and meet brothers.
Yale: We could have neophyting the night right after PTRM to save
a week.
Barbara: Pledge Article Meal at Chapter Weekend provides nice fel-
lowship setting.
Ping: Too many people hurry to go back when their rides leave.
Kevin: Set the date at CW for now and decide later.
Gilbert: Probably more brothers will go to an on-campus PAM due
to time constraints. Pledges can meet more brothers that way.
Hannah: Meeting too many brothers at one time makes me forget
faster.
Dave: On-campus PAM's certainly are easier to be forgotten. [speak-
ing from experience]
Yale: It has been difficult to schedule CW II for all terms. Could we
schedule last, and if necessary, drop it?
Barbara: I like CW. And it's my service program. [applause]
Ezra: Semi-formal at CW to save a week? We have stereo.
Yale: Could try working on a camp in Maine [where Conclave will be]
for CW II the same time of Conclave.
