Although this isn't the kind of event APO participates in as a group,
those of you who did RSI or the Women's Technology Program might be
interested, along with anyone else who wants to help out:

The Science Club for Girls, a non-profit in the Cambridge Public
Schools, is looking for enthusiastic volunteer mentors for our spring
semester.
We bring female scientists and girls together to explore fun,
hands-on science in free, after school Clubs. Volunteer once a week
to lead a group of girls from K to 7th grade in exploring the magic
of science!
We serve a diverse group of girls from backgrounds most
under-represented in the fields of science and technology. We provide
training, supplies, support, and a flexible, hands-on science
curriculum so you can dedicate all of your ! time to mentoring the
girls. Clubs run Tuesday through Friday once a week for 10 weeks. We
work with five different public schools in Cambridge and ask
volunteers to commit 2 hrs/wk, including prep and planning time. You
choose the day or location that works best for you!
