Chapter Meeting
3/16/94 7:33pm

Present: Glenn, Kevin, Jo-Anne, Junko, Bridget, Dave, Kate, Yale
Dima, Barbara, Amy, Richard, Gilbert, Ezra, Rachel

SVP(Bridget): There is a project on Sunday with the Pine St. Inn
and there was a project last Saturday at Quarterway
              House

MVP(Barbara): Had pledge meeting on Monday. Talked about leadership
and how to PC things. Project this weekend is PCed
              by a BB/LB team (Yeahh!)

AVP(Kate): The ASA meeting (and elections) was the worst meeting
            I've been to - I don't recommend it. If you're interested
the top officers for next year are
                 President: Greg Dunn (CSC)
                 Treasurer: Rebecca Fahrmeier (LSC)
                 Secretary: Matt Knapp (Outing Club)
I got the consumer report stuff on fridges.

Treasuer(Kevin): Books are closed for January and February.

Fellowship(Ann):
[Apologies to Ann for forgetting to bring this to the meeting]

Hi guys (meaning Dave and Kate). =) Hope y'all are doin' well.
I will not be at chapter meeting (is that right - yeah, i guess
so) tomorrow, so i thought i would just send this in ahead of time...

.5) A BIG BIG BIG BIG thank you to Gilbert and Ezra and everyone who
brought CD's for SFF! It was much-o much-o fun and there were
      lots o'people in tow...=)

   1) Albert Hsu and Grant Su are PCing Steak Fry. Now all we need is
a food PC and we're set (I think. Dave, correct this if I'm
      being incorrect.)

   2) We do, however, still need a PC for steak fry and I will hound
you all until you *want* to become course 6 or spend all your
time in lab somewhere and until the end of time if we don't get
      one.  =)

APOCEd(Amy): APOC is out.

Historian(Dima): Got three more rolls developed. [He added something
                 confusing about picture order ??]

Advisor(Yale): Nothing to report.

Ritual Props(Christine): Called Mike Bromberg about getting stuff
                         rescreened but no reply yet.

Big Screw(Bridget): Making progress on trying to get candidates.
Working on giving the contest a more positive
                    (less negative) image.

Silkscreening(Rachel): There will be a run during Spring Break. See me.

President(Dave): Need to get registration stuff out for the sectional
                 service project at treasure Valley.
Throws kisses at people [ok, so they were of the
                 Herschey's variety]
Gives chocolate to officers [thanks Dave]

NEW BUSINESS:
------------

Nominations/DSK meeting is 3 weeks today. Any volunteers for NomComm.
[Dave volunteers Kevin] Dave and Kevin are NomComm so far. Richard
asks if pledges can be on NomComm - Dave says yes although it can be
more useful if you know more of the chapter than you usually do as a
pledge.

Dave gave a brief description of what a DSK (Distinguished Service
Key) is. A chapter DSK is given to brothers by other brothers in
the chapter for 'long and distinguished service' If you
want to know what long and distinguished is then read the apoc
article from 198? or ask Glenn! Only brothers who are present at the
DSK meeting can vote. The DSK meeting is a closed meeting. DSK
meetings are held once a year.

Ken Tinkler (from BU) needs to know how many people will be helping
at the Cub Scout Decathlon (April 9th). Sign-up sheet was passed
around.

There was a presentation by Glenn on the correct way to use
drills and other fun tools. [Thanks Glenn]

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
-------------
Kevin: There will be a meeting to discuss ritual stuff/toast song
with regard to possible amendments to present at nationals
       straight after this meeting.

PFTGOTO:
-------
Dima: Anyone object ot a pledge helping with the ritual stuff ??
      [General opinion was NO!]

??: Yeah Spring Break

Dave: Thanks to Gilbert for a great semi-formal formal

Gilbert: Thanks to Alan, Ezra, and others for their help.

Ann: Happy spring break birthdays: Jo-Anne on the 22nd, Yale on the
24th, and...uh...that's all I know about (if there are more,
     please let me know).

Congratulations to Helen Chen for being elected co-publicity
chair for the class of '97

The Symphony Concert was most excellent Saturday - I hope that
y'all got to hear it. Our very own Harry Tsai and Drew Garcia
were in it, too. There was a concert band concert on Friday.
I have heard (though I didn't go) that it was good as well. =)
     (Jeffrey is in it.)

Finally, thanks to everyone who met my cousin and talked to her
at SFF... She had fun. =)
