EXECCOMM 2/9/94 7:35pm

Present: Bridget, Richard, Dima, Christine, LeaAnn, Kevin, Harry, Alan, Amy
Joe, Yale, Charley, Ezra, Lily, Jeffrey, Henning, Glenn, Dave, Kate,
         Ping(just)

SVP(Bridget): Here is an updated list of events for the term ...
[if you want to read it look in /mit/apo/WUAPO]
What has your SVP done for you ?? - find projects mostly. I am
trying to cater to the chapter's preferences. (There's not
              much painting ...)
What can you do for your SVP ?? - go to the office. Take down
the copy of the by-laws tacked to the board. Read Article 6,
Section 2 (relax, it's short). If you think the things it
describes should not be done, or that one person can do all of
them without help, drop by execcomm next week and explain it
to me. Otherwise, drop by ServComm half an hour before execcomm
and see whether I am still looking for randomly helpful people.
              (I won't make you call places, I promise :))

MVP(Barbara):

Hi, all. Sorry I am not here, I'm busy learning about bones and
joints....fun, fun. Anyway, the two pledge ceremonies happened,
much thanks to those who showed up. For those of you who didn't,
you should know that we now have....

                **** 14 new pledges!! *****

=) =) =) =) (Picture me bouncing up and down like Ann does when she
  is psyched).

They are: Aphrodite, Emily, Jeff, Cathy, Mike, Junko, Helen, Angela, Hannah,
Brad, Andy, Grant, Juliana, and Andrew.

And not to forget the pledges from last term: Richard, Bryan, Shiu, and Cris

Welcome and welcome back to them all!

There will be a big brother dinner trip this Friday, meeting at 5pm in
the office. If you would like to be a big brother and can't attend call
  me or send me email.

Pledge Article Meal is happening this Saturday at Chapter Weekend I.
Transportation will be arranged so that if you can't go to chapter
weekend, you can still come to pledge article meal.

Anyone who has suggestions regarding the pledge term should feel free
  to give them to me!

  YiLFS and Pledges,
  Barbara

AVP(Kate): WUAPOs did go out. Anyone interested in replenishing the supply
           of headed notepaper ??

Treas(Kevin): I have a list of 27 active brothers and 18 pledges. You should
talk to me immediately if you're not on it and you want to be
active this term. Many thanks to all 45 of you!
DJR order will be going in on Friday. Currently I have orders
from Bridget, Joe, Bert, Dima, Amy and myself. Others? See me
              by Friday.
Some money showed up in the treasurer's desk this week... in an
inter-campus envelope. No note or receipt or any indication of
what it was for. Talk to me if you know.

FVP(Ann): Nothing to report

APOC(Amy): APOC is being made right now

ASC(Traci): Nothing to report

PubDir(LeaAnn): I ordered drop poster paper - it was OK

Hist(Dima): I am taking pictures and sending rolls to be developed

Adv(Joe): Nothing to report

Pres(Dave): Explains the concept of the chapter book that lives on the
president's desk ?? It contains advice on hos to PC events
and what officers should do. A repository for written material.

NEW BUSINESS:
------------
Big Screw(Henning): The rules for Big Screw are summarised and the date
changes highlighted. No other changes were made to the
rules. No significant discussion. The motion carried
                    by a voice vote: many-0-0

Rituals: Motions to change the national by-laws etc. must be submitted by
September to Nationals. If AX wishes to submit any changes then
it is time to think about them. It was eventually decided that Kevin
would take charge of some sort of ad hoc committee to discuss possible
changes - everyone welcome. The group will meet for the first time
after the next chapter meeting. The group should report back to the
chapter before nominations meeting so that there is time for the
chapter to decide and discuss what is going on.

Tools: Glenn gave a very good presentation on the correct ways to use
        various hammers and claws. Thanks!
