Bridget, Barbara, Kate, Dave, Kevin, Amy, Karen, Joe,
Henning, Cris, Glenn, Ping, Traci, LeaAnn, Dima, John H.,

SVP(Bridget): Reg Day and Book Exchange have both happened. There
is project this Saturday at the Arborway School, we
will be doing cleaning and stuff. The following
weekend is Science Bowl set-up and take-down. Charley
will be PCing chapter weekend 1 and then there is
conclave. I'm looking for a PC for after-finals which
will be a joint active-alumni service/social weekend.
Please sign up by Friday for Arborway and meet in the
office by 9am.
MVP(Barbara): There was a large publicity drive and we used the
280 names we got from the PSC. We have 20 prospectives
so far. I'd like everyone who wants to be a Big
Brother to see me briefly at the end of the meeting,
we're going to need lots of you. Don't forget the
pledge ceremonies on the 14th and 15th in 1-135 at
7:30 and 5:30 respectively.
AVP(Kate): The ASA made their room assignments resulting in no
change for us or the silkscreen room. Both book
exchanges next year will be in Mezz. Lounge. Please
give me written reports (that's for the officers).
Treasuer(Kevin): A written report :):)

This is not complete accounting, it only shows the areas within the
budget which particular officers and chairs are responsible for. Thus
far we have no particular cause to be alarmed.
I currently have 22 active brothers and 1 inactive brother who has
subscribed to the APOC. Please speak to me soon if you wish to be
added to either of these lists. This should be done by the next
chapter meeting.
Please try and pay your debts as soon as possible. (Thanks to the
many people who have done so already)
Fellowship(Ann): Another written report :):)
I'm not here b/c of the amphibious life forms that have invaded my
throat. I apologize in advance to any of you that I may have sent
similar plagues to. Welcome Back to those of you not here for IAP!!!
1) I need SF and I-Banquet PC's...SF is the 9th of April, I-Banquet
the 6th of May...(PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE) Y'all should
have your schedules by now...Consult the Mentor List if you're
wondering what either of these thingers entail...Or ask Dave (about
Steak Fry) and Kate (if she's among the conscious and standing/sitting
- about I-Banquet)
2) Go see the "Men's Chorus" Friday night...Meet in the office at 6
or 6:30, depending on whether or not you want dinner in the office.
3) Going to "The Foundling" Sunday night at 8:30. Meet in the office
around 7:45 to hike over to Walker. Let me know if you want to go
but haven't sent me e-mail or signed up and I'll see what I can do.
4) BSO crud still in the making...
5) The Open Study Break on the 8th of this month will feature food and
fellowship, but nothing more exciting unless y'all suggest something.
E-mail,call me or leave a note for me in the office.
6) Give someone a hug. It increases the amount of Hemoglobin your
blood has and that's good for you (Amy and any other course 7 types
may correct this if it's wrong) (more oxygen transport)
Have a nice rest of the week.
YiLFS and raunchy amphibians,
Ann
APOCEd(Amy): APOC is out.
ASC(John): Couches got cleaned - no more giant dust clouds.
Historian(Karen): I keep taking pictures. Captions are not done
yet as the photos are being borrowed by the MVP.
Advisor(Joe): Nothing to report.
Big Screw(Henning): Sign up on the sheet for ideas of people to
contact about Big Screw. Need a publicity
sub-PC.
ServComm(Bridget): Boston Harbor Committee(??) needs help on the
28th Feb (monday) for an auction fundraiser.
It's from 4-9pm (or part thereof) and dress
is semi-formal.
Book Exchange(Kevin): Took in more than $7,000. Barbara owned up
to having the missing TCA slips which got
mixed up in MVP stuff by accident.
RegDay(Cris): Need to fill in times on sign-up sheet. Other
comments are available and can be discussed later.
President(Dave): [Dave admitted to rambling a lot, but the main issues
covered were the following:-)]
Regionals happened and the report is in the APOC.
The voting procedure and other stuff relevant to
the presenting of a regional DSK is also explained.
Ask Dave if you want more details. Started talking
to Ken Tinkler, the president of ZU chapter at BU
about joint service projects etc. BU is a young
strong and rapidly growing chapter.
AX has a very strong service program, but we need
more active brothers. Hope to see 40 actives in
the chapter in four years time.
Thanks for the couch cleaning.
Bursting on Reg Day was incredibly fast - thanks
to the PCs. There were lots of people.
Chapter skills weekend will be held March 5th.
Sound system for the office is being assembled.
Conclave is Feb 26th at UNH.
Suggested 'tool of the week' safety spot at chapter
meetings which was greeted mostly by apathy.
Not interested in having a mediocre term - we can
do it.
OLD BUSINESS:
------------
Pledge Class Namesake:
The two people suggested for this honor were
Duffy O' Craven
Karen Turato
there was a lot of discussion about the equal merits of both
suggestions. Finally someone suggested that the honor be given
to Karen as she graduated before Duffy, there seemed to be no
other way of resolving the issue. The motion to name the Spring
'94 pledge class after Karen Turato was passed 14-0-1.
NEW BUSINESS:
------------
Standing Policy Renewal:
The standing policy up for renewal was the one concerning not
keeping more than $200 in the office safe for more than 24 hours
and depositing all checks by the last day of the month in which
they were received.
Ping: Proposes the renewal
Henning: propose to up the limit to $250
Ping: declines this as a friendly amendment
Glenn: comments that the idea behind this policy was to stop
money being left in the safe where it is a security risk
and there was no point upping the limit so that people were
more inclined to leave money in the office.
Ping: call the question
Motion is passed: many-0-1
Junior Officer Elections:
ASC: Traci Williams
Pub Dir: LeaAnn Collins
Historian: Dima Dribinsky
All three candidates ran unopposed and were successfully elected.
Installation of Officers:
took place successfully
