Recently, the tools chair has noticed that:
1) There is an unassembled cart sitting in the office.
2) The tools cabinet(s) are very disorganized.
3) The brotherhood and pledgehood, in general, should have
a better idea of what tools we have, how to use them, and
where they belong (so they get put back!) than it currently
does.
Therefore, I am organizing a
****** TOOLING SESSION *******
(not the kind you do with books)
THIS SUNDAY, starting at 3:00 and going until it is done. We will
pull all the tools out of the cabinet, figure out what needs
repairing/replacement, assemble the cart, and put everything back
in a more organized fasion.
This is *not* training for a chapter skill; basically I have come
to the conclusion that since all brothers use the tools, all brothers
should have some knowledge of what we have and how to use it. And
Where To Put It Back, so we don't end up losing the tools or leaving
them lying around the office for someone to trip over. This is
everyone's responsibility, so I am hoping for a good turnout.
(and for those of you who are interested in the important stuff,
yes, I will bring food. =)
RSVPs are appreciated but not required. Also, don't feel like you
have to stay the whole time if you have a lot of work to do. Take
a break from tooling, and come Tool at APO.
