Hi, me again.
This is the survey I passed out at last night's chapter meeting. I'll also
be leaving hard copies in the office. Please take some time to fill out a
copy and return it to me via email or in the president's box in the office
before chapter weekend starts next Friday the 8th. I'd like to hear from
people that can't make CPPC as well...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This survey is intended to do two things- first, get you thinking about APO
and your place in it. Second, to help me in preparing to guide the discussion
at CPPC by identifying key issues which we need to address. Please spend as
much or as little time on the survey as you see fit, and please be honest.
YOU DON'T NEED TO PUT YOUR NAME ON THE SURVEY UNLESS YOU WANT TO. Note that
some questions apply to everyone, some apply only to brothers, and some may
apply only to people who have been brothers for some time. Answer whatever youcan, and give anything you feel might be relevant or interesting. Many thanks.

List some of your most memorable experiences involving APO, whether they be
positive or negative. Please give when they happened, particularly whether
you were pledge, prospective, or brother at the time.
When you first pledged, what expectations did you have concerning what being
a brother would be like? (What did you think you would get out of it? What
did you think your responsibilities would be?)
And when you were elevated, what expectations did you have then about being a
brother?
How have your expectations been fulfilled or disappointed? How have they
changed with time?
Below is a list of possible reasons why people take part in various APO
activities. I've divided our activities up into groups by the three cardinal
principles. Under leadership, rank these possibilities in order, with 1
meaning its the most important reason why you participate in leadership
activities. Do the same for fellowship and service. Give additional reasons
and other comments below as you see fit.
Leadership Fellowship Service
I do it because its fun.
Its my responsibility.
It gives me a feeling of
accomplishment.
I want to see my friends.
I'm afraid nobody else will.
Its a break from school.
Someone pushed me into it.
How often have you chaired projects or events? How recently? Why do you do
it? (Or why not?)
Have you ever run for/held office? Why or why not?
What is the role of officers and project chairs in the chapter? How important
is it for you as a brother to PC or hold office compared to other aspects of
being a brother?
