There are quite a number of people on the apo-news mailing list who in
the past have requested that mail volume on the list be kept to a
minimum because they don't wish to be inundated with e-mail.
Thus, I would like to remind people that apo-news should primarily be
used as an *ANNOUNCEMENT* list for upcoming APO events and should only
be used as a last resort (last resort means you try *OTHER* resources
first) for informational queries, such as the several which have been
sent on the mailing list in the last week or so.
(Not all informational queries are inappropriate. However, starting by
asking apo-exec@mit.edu and *THEN* escalating to apo-news is better than
sending your info query to apo-news in the first place....)
