Hello there!
Ellen turns 40 in May! Come help us celebrate!
Date: Saturday, May 12, 2001
Time: Noon to 10pm
Where: 18 Cottage Avenue, Arlington
781-646-3118
Steve, Meg and I are throwing a 40th birthday party for Ellen. Because this
is Ellen's party, it's going to be the kind of birthday party her parents
wouldn't throw for her.
Ellen wants there to be gaming. So, there will be gaming. Bring your favorite
game. Ellen wants to socialize. So, there will be folks hanging out in the
kitchen, living room and den. There might even be folks hanging out on the
deck (if the weather is cooperative).
We will probably plan to order pizza for interested parties about 5pm or
6pm. Otherwise, there will be munchies and some drinks available. (If you
like, you may bring your favorite food-type stuff.)
Ellen does not want birthday gifts. As she says, "Do I really need MORE stuff?"
So, please, don't bring a gift for her, she'd much rather have you be part
of the fun.
Please feel free to send us e-mail (steve.mcdonald@tufts.edu)
if you have any questions or if you'd like to RSVP
(which I would greatly appreciate).
Hope to see you on the 12th of May!
~Mary Anne
***IMPORTANT NOTES***
First of all, we have three cats.
You will probably only see two of them during the party (the third will hide
out under our bed until he's sure you've all gone home). Thus, there will be
cat fur on stuff (despite our best efforts). Please consider yourselves warned.
Second VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: Our basement is NOT infant-proofed! (Yes, Meg
does play down there, but only under very strict supervision.) There are
hundreds of Legos in containers a wily toddler can get into. Children are
very welcome to attend the party, but you will need to supervise them.
