Hi,
Here's some more information about our day of service:
Activity: City Year Boston will be painting a mural at the Josiah Quincy
School in Chinatown from 11-3:30pm on Saturday, March 10th. Lunch will be
provided.
History: The Quincy School, located in Boston's Chinatown, is considered
one of the best public elementary schools in Massachusetts. With a unique
modern facility shared by Red Oak After School Program, South Cove Community
Health Clinic, and the Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center, the Quincy
School serves as a hub in Boston's Chinese community. Offering bilingual
education in English and Mandarin, the Quincy School gives students from
outside the Chinatown community exposure to Chinese language and culture.
With an innovative curriculum, the Quincy School strives to teach its
children to learn in an active and stimulating environment. City Year is
entering into a new and exciting phase in our five-year partnership with the
Quincy School.
