Hey, everybody.

Big Screw is coming up soon! This annual APO event, in which
professors, administrators, classes, snack foods, and just about
anything else compete to be named the "big screw" of the year, raises
large amounts of money for charity. It's similar to UMOC (Ugliest
Manifestation On Campus) but more involved, as professors tend to have
fun with this one, or so I am told. People vote by putting money into
various jars in a booth in lobby ten. At the end of the week, the
votes are counted, and the Big Screw of 2001 will get his/her/its name
engraved on the Big Screw trophy. Now there's something to show the
grandkids with pride. :)

This great event will only work with help from YOU, so please let me
know as soon as possible if you can be a sub-PC.

Here are the sub-PCs needed for the event:

CANDIDATES: This could be you! Beginning immediately, you will start
talking to people and things about running. If a professor, for
example, is nominated to run for Big Screw, his or her permission must
be obtained before he or she becomes an official candidate.

AWARDS: This also could be you! You will put together an awards
ceremony and have the Big Screw trophy engraved with the name of the
winner.

TREASURY: Do you see yourself as the person responsible for keeping
track of all the money raised by Big Screw. You will only be needed
once Big Screw starts.

PUBLICITY: Lokie will make sure the whole campus knows about Big
Screw, and will also reserve the booth in lobby ten from Monday, March
12 through Friday, March 16.

MANPOWER: David Broniatowski will coordinate the rest of you to work
the booth from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday, March 12 through Friday, March
16.

Those who cannot sub-PC are needed to work the booth from 9 AM to 5
PM, Monday, March 12 through Friday, March 16. Please email David
Broniatowski <sabrevln@MIT.EDU> to sign up.

Thanks, and this should be a lot of fun.

Yours In Finally Figuring Our What YiLFS Means,
Ellie
