Hello all,
Last Wednesday we had a Chapter Program Planning Conference (CPPC).
We thought about the things we wanted to accomplish this upcoming year
and recommended a set of goals enumerated below. Please take a look
over them and think about ways you might help the chapter achieve
them. :-) The minutes (ideas we came up with) follow.
YiLFS,

makes changes, if any), present changes at first chapter meeting,
and update lists in pledge manuals
- Pledge meeting about Athena, communications
- Publicity
- We have two bulletin boards, the occasional drop poster, and LSC slides.
Sometimes we publicize ourselves at Reg Day

- Ride Board
- Decide by end of fall 2001 whether to continue
- Have appointed Ride Board Chair try to publicize more, including
considering online possibilities
- Drop Poster
- Cloth, reusable ones
- AC this term will put list of reservations in office/locker
- People should help with postering for projects (not just one or two)
- APOcrypha
- Dates and deadlines scheduled in advance
- Approximately 6 APOcs/term
- Encourage people to submit a lot of content
- Poke editor and brothers
- Advisors
- At least 1 event/term aimed at advisors (mid-term or so)
(pick four dates, have them choose). Pipa will do it this term.
- Try this term, and decide whether to continue
- Have advisors write in APOc something like "meet the brothers"
- More active faculty advisors
- Find new faculty advisor candidates by end of term, advisor by end of year
- Utilize faculty advisors to increase service on campus and for publicity
- Need to meet (get to know) advisors before effective utilization
- Sectional/Regional/National
- We seem isolated from other chapters
- Project with BU? (lack communication)
- Invite BU chapter to projects
- Publicize Yahoo! chats in chapter, link to WUAPO
- Send at least 1 person to each SAC meeting
- Organize at least 1 project/term with outside chapters
- Invite other chapters to Steak Fry or SFF?
- need hard RSVP and check-up call
- Penpal program with other chapters?
- Talk to alums that advise other chapters (Jeffreypu, etc)
- Publicize in national mailing list
- To subscribe, type "blanche apo-l-incoming -add $USER"
Leadership
- What are the expectations of officers?
How can we help them do what they have to do?
- Officers attend all meetings; if they miss one, send report
- Everyone should attend meetings
- Individual prodding?
- Call people?
- Appoint assistants? (as needed)
- Regular APOc reports
- Weekly/biweekly officer/president meeting? (15 min/2 weeks)
- president/officer office hours to get together?
- Chapter Skills
- Chapter Skills Chair
- Avoids confusion between president and SVP?
- But probably not necessary - If we have strong individual skills chairs,
SVP can handle
- Have a policy and define silkscreening, printing, tools, first aid chairs?
- Make publicity a chapter skill?
- Drop poster, booth set-up, bulletin boards, etc.?
- Generic policy by end of term, codify chapter skills by end of year
- Chairs
- Publicize in chapter who hold the positions and what they do
- In standing policies, specify who appoints whom
- List of chairs and their associated officers (the person that
the duties default to if the president is not required to fill the chair):
Tools SVP
Silkscreen Pubdir
Press Len?

Recycling OM
Food FVP
Chapter Book Hist
(Chapter Assassin) FVP

[Not mentioned during meeting were Contact and Sour Notes Chairs]

them in the Chapter Book.
- Transitioning

- 4th priority: nationals, robert's rules
- Revamp and update pledge manuals
- Old names (AVP, FC, ASC)
- Drop poster policy
- Definitions of chairs
- How to be a big brother
- write up something for this term, make it better by end of the year
- Should make sure info from PCR/PTRM get passed on to MVPs?
- Brotherhood
- We have many inactive brothers
- Brothers need some clue
- Have Rules and Bylaws Committee look into Associate membership
policy/definition
- Look into why people go inactive
- Have the MVP find a psyched person to study
- Report at end of year
