so recently there's been somewhat of a dearth of service projects, for
which i must humbly apologize....things have kind of sucked for me
recently. in an attempt to remedy this, i am holding a *servcomm*
this monday at 2pm. this being a vacation day, i know many people will
be taking advantage of the morning to catch up on much-needed sleep,
so for many of you, this would be an appropriate time for lunch. or
perhaps breakfast, depending on your point of view. <grin> thus,
servcomm will not be in the office, or some other boring cold austere
classroom on campus, but shall be held at some restaurant yet to be
determined. (i'm also soliciting ideas for the restaurant, particularly
ones with nice back rooms...) in addition, lunch will be partially
subsidized. our loose agenda shall include brainstorming on the type of
projects the members are interested in this term, working out an ideal
schedule, and hopefully finding a few project chairs as well. pledges --
this is a marvelous opportunity to get involved in shaping the service
program, as well as to talk to brothers interested in working with you
on running a project.
'twill be a marvelous opportunity not only to get off campus, but to
have a nice lunch with cool people, and to think about service! it
doesn't get much better than that... :) i shall be sending out more
email when a location is determined, and the location shall also be
posted on the door on monday. if you cannot make the meeting, but still
wish to contribute, email me, and i shall ensure that your email plays
an active part in the meeting. :)
