hi all !!

As many of you know, I will be PCing this term's Book Exchange. The
relaity of this task is beginning to dawn on me, as I wonder what to
do about advertising and other little things like that.

But more importantly, I need someone who will help me as Book Exchange
Treasurer. This is a great job ... you get to play with large amounts
of money. However, unfortunately, after we take it in, we have to give
it all away again. No prior treasury experience (or any other kind
of experience) is needed. If you're interested, then let me know and
I can tell you lots more about it :) I'm going on vacation in August
so I would like someone to volunteer before I leave.

Finally, I am hoping to revamp the way in which people collect their
books and checks. This is to avoid having books and checks in the
office for months afterwards. One idea being considered is to staff
the office for advertised hours (2 or 3 hours per day) the week after
book exchange and then dispose of any remaining books a week later.
This might tie in with keeping the office open so that prospective type
people can also drop by. If you have ideas about this, or any other
aspect of book exchange then please let me know.
