hey all, sorry this seems so late, but what can you do....please keep
reading to the end cause it is a little long, but there is more info after
the directions part....Sky, please forward to your chapter (thanks :) )

What: Section 96 Summer Picnic!
When: Sat, July 22nd noonish-whenever
Where: Sandy Neck Beach (some debate of whether it is in Sandwich or
Barnstable...) on the Cape
Why: because we want to have fun!!!!!!
Activities?: thought we do whatever strikes everyone's fancy at the time,
so bring toys and ideas of stuff to do...
	 BYOP (and that's for picnic)

Details about the beach itself......
it's on the Cape Cod Bay
it has lifeguards, food, bathhouse, restrooms, swim lessons (but
I don't think we be doing that, unless you REALLY want to...), parking and
wheelchair accessiblity!
it is open to the public, but a fee is required (but can't find
out what it is till we get there for some reason....)
	and it has a snackbar!!!!
no mention of alcohol policy, but since it is a public beach and
there is the open container law, I'm guessing no alcohol allowed....plus,
being out in the sun all day, it wouldn't be a very good idea anyways, so
bring lot's of water and juice!!!!! (soda will dehydrate you too!)

Directions:

from Boston-area: ~1hr driving time
Rte 3S to Rte 6E to Rte 6A E...drive towards Barnstable (near
boarder, thus the debate...) and the beach is right off of 6A

from UConn-area: ~2hrs 13mins
	195N to 44E to 101E to 6E to 295N to 95 (exit 2B) to 495 (exit
6A) to 25E (495 exit 1/ 95 exit 22) to 6E to 6A E...see above....

from everywhere else: depends....
	Worcester: ~1 1/2 hrs
	Amherst: ~2 1/2 hrs
	Portland, ME: ~3 hrs
	Burlington, VT: ~5hrs

get to 495S to 25E to 6E to 6A E....see above....

Please bring sunblock and water!!!! I'll be very unhappy if anyone is
dehydrated and we have to call an ambulance! Bring money for parking (if
you carpool, it will be cheaper for everyone!) and don't forget a lunch or
money to buy something at the snackbar! Also, bring anything else you may
want or need (i.e. towel, sunglasses, beach ball, other sand
toys....) There really isn't anywhere on the Cape that people can crash
at (unless you really want to hang out with my grandparents or Brosnan's
and EZ's parents...) If anyone from further away needs a place to crash
though, please let me know and you can probably come home with me to
Marlborough (half way between Boston and Worcester) or maybe someone in
the Boston-area would be willing to let some people crash (if you are,
please let me know asap!!!!)

Also, I know longer have Summer Theatre to tie me up, so my email
responses will be quicker now....hope to see you all there :)
	YiLFS,
	KATIE
