Minutes for conclave meeting 6/7/00
Start 7:10PM
Present: Emily, Sam, Ari, Ellen, Andy, Sara B, Jason, Laura C.
I. Banquet
Carolyn has a list of hotels. They need to be called for quotes.
For next week: Lokie and Sara will check the map and contact about
20 hotels for quotes. Westboro and Acton are suggested by Ellen
as good sites. Ari will contact MIT conference services.
II. Workshops
Resolute will do rifelry, archery, ropes (high and low), canoeing,
kayaking (weather dependent), knots, and firebuilding. Resolute
will get back to Ari about other activities. We may need to hire
a couple instructors a few months in advance.
III. Service
We want an indoors arts-and-crafts project, a "people project", and
a construction project.
Jason and Andy are in charge of a construction project. Requirements
include the ability to take 40 or so people, the ability to let us
use donated supplies (United Way?), and a lack of extreme danger.
For next week: Jason and Andy will check web pages for sites close
to Bolton.
III. Treasury
We'll need some money soon for reservations/souvenirs.
For next week: Sam will check on project account balance.
IV. Manpower
Ann is seminars chair.
Lokie and Shelly will handle Friday night fellowship.
We need someone to handle momentos (secret idea in the works).
We need some nice pictures of Resolute for advertisements.
V. Misc
We probably don't want/have to do an LDW.
