So someone should really organize a trip to the 18th Annual
Scooper Bowl, happening this week at City Hall Plaza (Gov't
Center) tomorrow and Thursday from 11:30AM to 6:00PM.
What is the Scooper Bowl? Think Ben & Jerry's, Brigham's, Hood,
Breyer's and at least another half dozen ice cream purveyors
sitting in a row just waiting to give you a scoop of their finest.
Some companies have even been known to premiere their new flavors
here. (Last year, Ben & Jerry's showcased Bovine Divinity.)
This is a charity fundraiser for the Jimmy Fund. It costs $5 to
get in, and you get to eat *all* the ice cream you want. And it's
not even going to rain tomorrow! (And Thursday looks like it'll be
in the mid-70s and sunny.)
Someone just needs to pick a time and announce it.
It's lots of fun. I've gone to at least six of them and have never
been disappointed.
