so as a pawn (...er, no, i think i'm actually closer to a knight) in emily's
eeeevil plan to take over the world through used books, i have ascended to
the position of <da da DUM> book exchange pre-summer manpower pc. what this
means is that i get to come begging all of you to help spread propaganda
across campus and/or keep the office open to help collect books.
what will this entail, you might ask? you do not have to forfeit your soul
to emily for these tasks (even if you still have it :). all you have to do
is 1) staff the office during the hours of 11a-2p and 4p-5p next monday through
friday (yupyup, finals week), 2) distribute cute little quarter sheets of
paper on desks in walker, johnson, and/or dupont before finals, or 3) all of
the above. :) you may sign up for time slots either by emailing me or
writing your name on the sheet soon to appear in the office.
i'd like to have two people sign up for each time slot, although it's more
important that we have two people for distributing flyers than for staffing
the office. and i'm not setting a specific time for when those distributing
flyers need to show up; i leave that to monday's people's discretion, and
after that, i shall inform you all of how long one can expect this to take.
you'll be getting plenty of email from me in the next week, anyway... :)
so please sign up! and spread the word that people may drop off their books
for the fall book exchange! many people will be wanting to dispose of their
textbooks, and this gives them a lovely opportunity to do so *and* make
money later. we need your help in order to provide this service...so i hope
to be hearing all of your enthusiastic responses soon. thank you! :)
