Subject: Volunteers needed for Avon Breast Cancer 3-Day
HI,
We're recruiting volunteers for the closing ceremonies of the Avon Breast
Cancer 3 Day walk. Closing ceremonies will be at MIT on Sunday, June
4th. We have volunteer shifts from 7:30am-2pm, 12pm-7pm and 1pm-5:30pm.
In the morning we'll be setting up in preparation for the walkers return.
Walkers will be finishing between 12 and 5, during this time we'll be
checking them in, returning gear, distributing water and ice, and getting
ready for the Victory Walk and closing ceremonies. After closing ceremonies,
we'll be breaking down all of the tables, tents, signage, etc.
Volunteers need no specific skills. Anyone between 12 and 16 can
volunteer with adult supervision.
At the end, I've included a description that can be emailed to interested
folks - or modified any way you need.
Anyone interested in volunteering, or needing more information, can contact me.

Volunteers needed for Boston Avon Breast Cancer 3-Day
More than 300 volunteers are needed for the closing ceremonies
of the Boston Avon Breast Cancer 3-Day.
On June 2-4, an estimated 2,000 compassionate men and women from all walks
of life will walk approximately 60 miles from Leominster, MA to Boston over
three days in the Avon Breast Cancer 3-Day to raise money and awareness for
the fight against breast cancer. Monies raised will fund medical research;
support services for breast cancer survivors, patients undergoing treatment,
and their families; educational seminars; and early detection services.
We already have all of the walkers, but need over 300 volunteers to support
the closing ceremonies of AVON Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk. We have a variety of volunteer
opportunities June 4th, Sunday, at MIT. We need volunteers to help check-in
participants, direct traffic, and set up for closing ceremonies at MIT. We have volunteer shifts
from 7:30am-2pm, 12pm-7pm and 1pm-5:30pm on Sunday.
