yes, i know it's the end of the long weekend, but we still have a chapter
meeting next tuesday. in fact, this one is of relative importance, since
we will be having nominations for chapter offices, as well as discussion
of potential DSKs. nominations will continue to be open until the office
is filled, but if you are thinking about running for an office or
nominating someone else to run for an office, this gives you plenty of
time to think about *why* you want that office. if you'd like to
nominate someone for an office and you'd either rather do so not in the
meeting or before the meeting (say, if they won't be at the meeting),
email me and i (and nomcomm :) shall deal. :)
as for DSKs -- DSK stands for distinguished service key. every spring
we discuss giving out chapter DSKs to potential deserving people. (note:
this does not mean we always give them out.) voting on DSKs will be
happening the week after the upcoming chapter meeting, but if you wish
to vote, you *must* be at the meeting for discussion.
meeting is in w20-400 at 7:30, same as always.
and shameless plug: movie night tomorrow (friday) night! in the office!
and there's a mob going to the 7pm showing of dogma at lsc beforehand!
and i'm having fun with exclamation marks! :) yeah. come, it'll be fun. :)
