While I don't know the friend in question, I can vouch for Steve's
sincerity and judge-of-characterness.

While I realize that we aren't the types who have lots of spare space or
empty houses lying around greater Boston, I thought I'd try you and your
resourcefulness.
I have a friend who has made a plea for me to find him housing for eight
weeks -- June 21 to August 13 -- so that he can attend a course at Harvard.
He is an American working for the AID mission in Swaziland and has been
awarded a U.S. government fellowship that includes tuition and meals and
incidentals but not housing. (Don't you feel your tax bite lessening?)
He'd like to walk to or be in Harvard Square.
I can vouch for his honesty, intelligence, good will, and
all-around-good-guyness.
