Getting this out with plenty of notice for once.
NEW LOCATION: The Red Cross has opened an new donor center in Bedford,
MA. Since they are open on the next third Tuesday of an odd-numbered
month (November 18, 2025) and the Burlingon site is not, we will check
out the new donor center.
The Red Cross says it is experiencing an acute blood shortage (that
seems to be the permanent state of things, or at least it has been going
on so long it feels that way). Please make the time to donate at a time
and place that is convenient for you even if you can't join me in
Bedford.
The details:
Who: Hopefully, you. Family and friends welcome.
What: Blood donation followed by Dinner Trip
When: November 18, 2025
Where: Bedford American Red Cross Blood and Platelet Donation Center,
213 Burlington Rd, Ste. 111, Bedford MA 01730
Why: Because it saves lives.
How:
To Make an appointment to donate call 1-800-GIVE-LIFE or go on line at
https://www.redcrossblood.org/. I've made mine for 6:15 pm. If you don't
see an available appointment, check back since some people cancel. Also,
sometimes, you can get an appointment by calling when none appear to be
available on the website. The center is open from 11:00am - 7:15 pm.
Please join us for dinner even if you can't donate. You can either meet
us at the American Legion or I can text you the dinner location once
we've decided on it.
If you are interested in coming, but need a ride, let me know.
Please RSVP so I know who to expect. Send RSVPs by email to
