January Blood Drive & Dinner Trip, Tuesday 1/21/2025

January is an odd numbered month and the 3rd Tuesday is fast upon That
means that Tuesday, January 21, 2025 is time for another Blood Drive and
dinner trip. (And if you want to start planning ahead, the March date is
3/18/2025, same location. The Red Cross is taking appointments now.)
I will not be there this month as I will be out of town, but I will
connect the people who are going so they can figure out dinner plans. A
couple of people have already contacted me.
The Red Cross says it is experiencing an accute blood shortage, as it
often is at this time of year. Please make the time to donate at a time
and place that is convenient for you even if you can't join us.
The details:
Who: Hopefully, you. Family and friends welcome.
What: Blood donation followed by Dinner Trip
When: January 21, 2025
Where: American Legion Hall, 162 Winn Street, Burlington, MA
Why: Because it saves lives.
How:
To Make an appointment to donate call 1-800-GIVE-LIFE or go on line at
http://www.redcrossblood.org/. If you don't see an available
appointment, check back since some people cancel. Also, sometimes, you
can get an appointment by calling when none appear to be available on
the website. It's unclear if they have started allowing walk-ins again,
it might depend on how busy they are.
The blood mobile is open from 1:30pm - 7:00 pm. The last appointment
time appears to be 6:30 these days.
Please join the group for dinner even if you can't donate.
If you are interested in coming, but need a ride, let me know.
