Next Tuesday, May 17, is the 3rd Tuesday in the next odd numbered month
and now that
many of use are vaccinated against COVID, I'd like to resume the 3rd
Tuesday of Odd Numbered Months Blood Drive and Dinner trip.
The Red Cross says it is experiencing an accute blood shortage -- and
things have been in that state for many months now. If you are eligible,
please make the time to donate at a time and place that is convenient
for you even if you can't join me.
If you are planning on joining the dinner trip, I need to know before
Nov 14th so we can pick a location / dinner setting that everyone is
comfortable with and make reservations if possible.
The details:
Who: Hopefully, you. Family and friends welcome.
What: Blood donation followed by Dinner Trip
When: May 17, 2022
Where: American Legion Hall, 162 Winn Street, Burlington, MA
Why: Because it saves lives.
How:
To Make an appointment to donate call 1-800-GIVE-LIFE or go on line at
http://www.redcrossblood.org/ It's unclear if they have started allowing
walk-ins again.
Please join us for dinner even if you can't donate.
If you are donating, please arrive by 6:30pm. The blood mobile is open
from 1:30pm - 7:00 pm.
If you want to join us only for dinner, DO NOT come to the Blood Drive
location. Contact me in advance so we can pick a place and time.
