tl:dr Donate blood on February 7th-11th with MIT ARCTAN to fight the blood =
shortage and get a $10 Amazon gift card! Scan the QR code in the poster to =
register.
ARCTAN will be hosting our next blood drive with the American Red Cross on =
February 7th through 11th. It will be our first weeklong blood drive this s=
chool year, and we're trying to get as many donors as we can.
The US is currently facing the worst blood shortage in over a decade due to=
complications from the pandemic and lack of blood drives recently. There's=
been a 62% drop in high school and college blood drives since the start of=
the pandemic. There is a dangerously low blood supply right now, and hospi=
tals need help. For January, Red Cross has even partnered with the NFL to a=
utomatically enter donors into a lottery for Super Bowl tickets.
If you are healthy and eligible, please come out to donate. Most donations =
take about an hour, so book your appointment, roll up your sleeve, and beco=
me a part of the lifesaving mission of the Red Cross and MIT ARCTAN while a=
lso getting some snacks and $10 Amazon gift cards!
