Hi APO,
We have several upcoming PC opportunities. Please let me know if you would
like to get involved with one of these projects! You don't have to be
active, or even a brother. If something sounds interesting, I'll help you
make it happen :)
Prospect Hill Academy - James, Rachel, and I got registered to tutor with
Prospect Hill Academy last week. We also got a tour of the school and it
looks really awesome! The Academy prides itself on it's collegiate
emphasis. They also really need more people to help tutor high school
students in AP science and math classes! Email me if you would like to get
registered!
Habitat for Humanity - Build things, break things. It is excellent stress
relief. Happens on many Saturdays, specifically: March 30th, April 6th,
April 13th, May 4th.
The Esplanade Association - There are Saturday drop-in service
opportunities at 9am every week! Help paint benches, clean up the
esplanade, and cut brush.
t-shirt drive - Erin has offered to co-PC this. Who wants to help out?
Muddy River Clean-up - "The annual Muddy River Cleanup will be held in
conjunction with the 14th Annual Earth Day Charles River Cleanup on April
20th, 2013 from 9:00AM- 12:00PM. Volunteers will help clean up trash and
debris from the banks of the Muddy River and throughout the Back Bay Fens.
Tools, gloves, and trash bags will be provided along with t-shirts for the
volunteers. We are also organizing efforts to get food for the event, so
estimated number of volunteers for your groups would be greatly appreciated
as soon as possible."
Environmental Fair and Community Clean Up Day - Saturday, April 27th. Help
clean up the local community and then attend a fair afterwards!
Yours in Looking For Service,
-Alex
