Hello Brothers!
Let's talk about fun! I like fun! Do you like fun? Here are some
exciting opportunities to spread the fun this semester:
-House Cup Committee
-Steak Fry
-SFF
-Ibanquet
-Office Fellowship
*House Cup Committee- *The past two semesters APO has run a house cup.
Based on what was said at the last chapter meeting, we like the idea and
like keeping track of what everyone is doing for APO, but don't think that
the cup has been effective at getting brothers more excited about the
chapter. If you want to talk about whether or we should hold a house cup
again, and if so what form it should take, add your self to the moira list
apo-fellcomm (or email me and I will add you). We will start talking about
the house cup soon.
*Steak Fry-*This is an awesome event, where we hang out with cool alums,
eat delicious steak (and other food) and get people (us and alums) to pay
money to take things out of the office (win!). Steak Fry is looking for an
awesome brother to coordinate it who is excited about reaching out to alums
and getting them to eat our steak. In the near future a date needs to be
set and alums need to be reached out to. If you want to take charge and
haven't already told me so, let me know soon. If you think you might not be
qualified, but are interested, there are plenty of people who are willing
to help you out. You should PC a Steak Fry!
*SFF*-What does SFF stand for? Well that's up to you. Our semesterly
"formal" has been apocalypse themed, 80's themed, and more. Lizrita is the
lucky person in charge of it. If you are interested in helping out, or have
opinions about themes, email her (lizrita@mit.edu) or me (or both!) to get
involved.
*Ibanquet-*I recently learned that the "I" stands for "initiation". Crazy.
Anyway, the date has been set (5/18) but the food and the location have
not. If you want to be in charge of the post initiation banquet, let me
know.
*Office Fellowship-*Once a week, one of our awesome brothers will be
holding fellowship office hours where we do fun things in the office. We
can play games, watch movies, make a lot of popcorn, and more! Join us for
fun in the office! If you are interested in holding some office
fellowship,come to exec tomorrow night and sign up!
*Other Fellowship-*Have an awesome idea for fellowship that you want to
run? Or just have an awesome idea? Let me know and I will do my best to
make it happen.
