APO Exec Minutes for 9/24/12.

APO Exec Meeting 09/25/12
Attending: Alexwest, oremanj, anchen, ooorika, emify, kosiarek, xyzjane,
Ellen.
Meeting Opened: 9:39pm
Officer Reports:
Pledges
emify: We have pledges! There are about 15. 15 including the potential
continuing pledges. I will assign Bigs and Littles tomorrow at noon. I
think I still need bigs to volunteer. Our bigs and littles meeting will be
at Wednesday at 9:30.
SVP
Phillip: We need people to pc things. I will need to poke people. We will
need another person to do UMOC also as it is a big job for one.
Treasury:
rhkeeler: I cleared out some mailing lists. These are plots that will get
done sometime. Poll: how do we feel if I change the RFP process to the
people need to fill out the online form also instead of just do the
receipts. It will be an option, not a straight replace. There will be
instructions everywhere. You would make an RFP and leave a couple of blanks
there, forward it to the officer, and then the officer would forward it to
the treasurer.
Also, I promise that I will get the stack of RFP's done soon. I promise I
will get it done.
AC
kosiarek: I will update the wuapo. And I will cross-reference the office
hours with the actives list to make sure we all have our office hours.
Board
ooorika: I want to put updated things on the board. I will do this when the
wuapo is updated. I want to have an event where we decorate the board, we
did this a year ago, and that was nice to have help and creativity.
Apoc
anchen: next Apoc will be out for the chapter meeting. Submissions are due
Wednesday or Thursday. I should collect more quotes
Office Manager
alexwest: anyone want to yell at me for the office?
emify: ALEXWEST! Why are there so many books in the office?! *it's totally
not your fault*
alexwest: there won't be books someday!
oremanj: bookex books will be gone after this next week, we have hours for
this week.
Nationals
oremanj: I think we have 5 people interested so far.
rhkeeler: people should come! It'll be a great time!
emify: I'll go with alexwest! We're both semi-close..
anchen: I could get a bus over to oakland, and go with you guys.
emify: it depends how cute my stepbrother's baby is.
rhkeeler: the other reason that you should come is that you can dress me up
like a doll.
oremanj: many of you have heard of the scouting things that have been going
on. The UCON president has drafted legislation, I'll send it to exec.
Conclave is sooner than you think. It's in about a month. It'll be awesome!
We don't have to do the work this time! It's in Portland, Maine. October
20th weekend.
oremanj: Cancel Exec meeting for columbus day weekend? As I will be out of
town. We could move it, or have a UMOC meeting that day instead.
rhkeeler: go to your office hours and science is cool!
ellen: Students at Northeaster and Emmerson are interested in forming
chapters.
rhkeeler: can we mentor the northeaster chapter?
ellen: there are people at both colleges that are interested, some
transfers, and some grad students.
If you do want to submit legislation for nationals the deadline is Dec
30th, and that is a Hard deadline.
oremanj: If you want to go to a pledge ceremony, a formal one with dressing
up and things you should help another chapter called Quippicack. They need
help to have more brothers, as they don't have enough brothers to have a
pledge ceremony. It's this weekend.
