I just want to put out again how much of an experience this is. It's really
enjoyable to mingle with people with lots of money. The jokes are a bit
lame but in an endearing, cute way! I laughed a bit. Last year we also got
a very good meal along with it. It's a good experience because you gain a
valuable skill - asking money from people. It's a hard thing to do but you
will get the hang of it. Plus these people are probably already planning on
giving money, so the job will be easier.
You do have to dress up, so be prepared to look snazzy. I felt underdressed
last year a bit, so if I were to go (sadly I can't this year..), I would
have to step up my game.
This is a great event because 1) it's not far away 2) it's on a Friday
evening so you don't have to wake up early 3) it's fun and fulfilling 4)
you have an excuse to look snazzy 5) you need to do service. Did I mention
brothers need to do service? :)
