Nomcomm happened. >SVP - latifah Service this weekend...died. BU-siblympics next Saturday. Josh Oreman is happy to co-PC, but he needs someone to co-PC with! Help him make a 30-minute long scavenger hunt in Boston Common! kkuhn is in charge of GESM. It is happening! Yay she is awesome. :) It's on May 1st, all day. There's one car going, plus a car that can go back and forth from the train station, so everyone can go if they want. You MUST tell Kristin by Friday if you want to go. >PVP - slehmann -I am not there. My newly completed moose hat is sad. So is my 6.006 grade. -There was a pledge meeting. They learned about national structure -Mims will be at the next Exec meeting. You all should come! -Start thinking about exit interviews (will occur the week after next). More info after this test is done having its way with me. >FVP - kkuhn Things happened! Fertility Eggstravaganza occured. epower, me, and haiiro were there. it was awesome! but it was a busy weekend for many, alas. Is there a better way to predict what weekends are good for people? Or was the idea in general just not appealing? Steak fry has PCs! Yay sabago and fioni! people should come! invite non-APOers! Sat April 24, 6pm in Talbot Lounge. SFF invites will probably be printed tonight. SFF is May 8! Dinner's at 7, 32-G449 IBanquet needs a PC! It's great for anyone who still needs a PCship.... it involves cooking a big picnic for ~30 people! There aren't any other fellowship events going on, because there's a lot of service stuff / elections stuff that goes on at the end of term. Also, it's the end of term. :( Buuut if people want a chill movie night some time, let me know! I'd love another excuse to hang out with my brothers. :) >Treasurer - viccro No report >AC - rkw Tell me if you need a room reserved or want something on the WUAPO. For the WUAPO, you need to give me date, time, place, and PC for each event; it's also helpful if you give me a short summary which I can put online for people to read. >PubDir - austein There's been yet more publicity! We used lots of resources for Big Screw, including the new boards in Stata which apparently got attention. The Tech published a great article on it too, though I can't claim responsibility for that. Had a good discussion about community service during CPW but not many interested in the APO sort (more international development/sustained tutoring). Also talked to lots of people at our CPW Midway booth - most promising were a couple people who did NHS and Key Club. Showed off printing press and silkscreening shop, hopefully new freshman class is more aware and we get more orders. Tax issue with printshop cleared up, we can advertise and get jobs again! If somebody tells you otherwise, tell them off or ask the President to. Holding office open for services seems to attract people too. Ian Tracy is Junior but interested in joining. Guess we should offer more services. Ideas for ad campaigns? Reminder to put more branding on our products If you have problems with bulletin boards, email asa-exec@mit.edu. Matt will no longer be on the ASA as of this Wednesday, so you shouldn't tell him any more. >ApocEd - adehnert No report >Office Manager - jaxxson No report >Historian - wings No report >Adv. Chair - ccrazy No report >Merit Badge University We contacted the person (Joe) - he wants to set up a meeting to discuss it. It'll probably be in the evening, probably here. Probably within the next couple of weeks, probably on a Thursday? This is going to be a really large project, but we've got lots of support. It'll be happening in the fall, sometime before 11/15. >Afterfinals We often have an event the week after finals end where we go to a Boy Scout camp and do projects and chill in the evening. Kristin's trying to gauge interest in doing it this year. >>Nominations President: catherio, (sophical), nteague SVP: sophical, grantrob PVP: catherio BVP: aderegt, eocervan Treasurer: nteague, adehnert, slehmann AC: sophical, k_french Pub Dir: catherio, jenhope, grant_rob >>Election meeting time At least a few people would really like to be here for the elections meeting can't make it at 8pm. Can we move it to 9:15 or 9:30? Motion to change the next chapter meeting to 9:15 carries with the majority of the vote. >>DSKs Distinguished Service Keys are given to people who have shown continuous and extraordinary service to the chapter. We can give out none, we can give out lots. It doesn't necessarily need to be someone active, nor someone who is even a member. Standing Policy on DSKs: Section I. Voting for Distinguished Service Key awards, known as DSK's, shall be by secret ballot pre-sented to the President at least twenty-four hours after the adjournment of the DSK meeting and continuing for seven days thereafter. Voting shall be on blank ballots which shall be placed in a sealed inner blank envelope which shall then be placed in another sealed envelope with the voters name printed on it and his signature across the seal. Counting of the votes shall be done by two current DSK holders. At the time of the counting, those counting ballots shall first verify that all votes were cast by eligible voters. They shall then remove the inner envelopes and destroy the outer envelopes before opening the inner envelopes. Section II. A person shall be awarded a DSK on a two-thirds a rmative vote of the active members of the chapter eligible to vote. Attendance during some part of the discussion of DSK's at the regularly scheduled chapter meeting that has been selected by the President for that purpose shall be a condition for voting on these awards. These people were discussed: Gregory Martin (gremio), Kristin Kuhn (kkuhn), Liz! Power (epower), Kevin Chen (kchen) >>Announcements >There will be a chartering ceremony at New England College on Friday, May 7th. We're waiting for final approval, but it should be at 5:00pm with dinner to follow. Email Liz%20 if you're interesting in going. The charter ceremony is open to the public >No one's been trained in making screens this term. This is a problem. Send catherio an email if you're interested. PFTGOTO: Amy: You should all come hear me sing this Saturday at 8pm! Also, graduation is in 51 days! Also also, cookie dough is TASTY! Rebecca: Gustavo Dudamel is coming to MIT on Friday! (He's the director of the LA Philharmonic.) It's too late to reserve tickets, unfortunately, but it's going to be really really awesome. There's a rehearsal with MITSO and a panel discussion (7:30 on Friday and 2pm on Sat) that will also be shown in 10-250. --000e0cd6d04e4104b904843c8fe0 Content-Type: text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Minutes from tonight's meeting.<div><br></div><div>yiLFS,=A0</div><div>= Rebecca</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><div>APO Chapter Meeting</d= iv><div>Date: 2010-04-14</div><div>Attendence: Liz %20 de Regt (ederegt), K= ristin Kuhn (kkuhn), Ellen=A0</div> <div><br></div><div>Kranzer (ccrazy), Joanie Halabi, Drew Drechsler (andrew= d), Xavier=A0</div><div><br></div><div>Jackson (jaxxson), Matt Goldstein (a= ustein), Tiffany Zhou (thzhou),=A0</div><div><br></div><div>Amy Hailes (aha= iles), Josh Oreman (oremanj), Alioth Drinkwater=A0</div> <div><br></div><div>(kdrinkwa), Rebecca Krentz-Wee (rkw), Scott Landers (sc= ottl), Shawn=A0</div><div><br></div><div>Westerdale (shawest), Catherine Ol= ssen (catherio)</div><div>Began: 8:08</div><div>Ended: 9:33</div><div><br> </div><div>>>Officer Reports</div><div><br></div><div>>President -= ederegt</div><div>No report.
