Hello AX!
As I mentioned at meetings, I'm applying to be a FUP counselor, and
would love for other AX's to join me! Don't know what FUP is?
Luckily, I have a blurb for you.
"The Freshman Urban Program (FUP) is a service-focused, community-
exploring program aimed at introducing freshmen to MIT and to life in
an urban college environment. Participants have the opportunity to get
to know each other and their counselors through fun and focused public
service activities. Besides acclimating incoming students to their new
environment, FUP enables them to explore and begin to understand the
needs of the Cambridge/Boston communities, and the role that students
can play in meeting these needs through leadership and service. FUP is
an MIT Public Service Center program."
A service-based FPOP! Frankly, I'm surprised we haven't gotten more
involved (in recent history, anyway). This sounds like a lot of fun
if you are cool with freshmen and like service (I'm assuming the
second's true, at least). Not only that, but it'd be a great way to
let freshmen know that APO is a cool place full of cool people who do
cool service :D
Application is due on 2/25 (two days from now). You can apply here:

Service!
