Hi APO,

To supplement Matt's e-mail, there are a few other IAP projects that are
scheduled / planned. In chronological order, they are:

*Kendall Band Meeting *(Tuesday, Jan 5)
Interested in helping to fix Paul Mastisse's Kendall Band installation at
Kendall T? Come to the discussion of its renovation/maintenance. 1 pm in
Killian Hall. This is the second meeting: if you went to the previous one,
please try to come again, but definitely feel free to go along even if you
couldn't make it last time. For more information, email Mike Tarkanian,
tarky@mit.edu

*MIT Saturday Engineering Enrichment & Discovery (SEED) Academy *(Saturday,
Jan 9)
They need interviewers to help interview selected 9th graders who are
interested in joining the program. The interviews will take place from 10am
- Noon and 1pm - 3pm. Interviewers will interview two students and their
parent/guardian. Interviewers will be provided with an interview guide that
details the SEED interview process, the structure of the day, and questions
for student and parents. A light breakfast & lunch will be provided. They
need nine more volunteers, so please think about doing it if you are
available then. This is a great opportunity to give back, and spanish or
mandarin chinese speaking skills would be particularly helpful. If you have
any questions, email Julian Green at jsgreen@mit.edu

*Chapter Skill: Tools!* (sometime next week, tba)
Jesse and Ash aim to run a couch deconstruction project / demonstration for
people interested learning tools as a chapter skill. Jesse has indicated
that Tuesday or Wednesday next week would probably work, but would need
transportation to nab one or two of the free couches lying around somewhere
in Boston for this purpose. If you have a couch or a car that would be able
to transport one, please email jmcquaw@mit.edu

*Big Screw Renovation *(tba)
viccro is PC-ing a project to replace the rather dead big screw sitting in
the office. However, she is, in her own words, 'artistically challenged' and
would like enthusiastic volunteers to help! If you fall into this category,
please email viccro@mit.edu or blanche yourself onto new-big-screw@mit.edu

That's it for now. Happy IAP!

yis,
latifah
