Our illustrious SVP is already in contact with these folks about
collaboration... this could be a great place to get to know them more, or
even just learn about being an awesome volunteer.

Yours in Service,
Kristin

*MITService panel discussion: How To Be An Awesome Volunteer (9/30) *
Wednesday, September 30, 6:00-8:00pm
Room 3-133
Light dinner served

Join MITService, the MIT Public Service Center, and a panel of speakers from
a variety of local volunteer organizations to discuss what makes a good
volunteer. How do you deal with sensitive situations? How do you maximize
your helpfulness? What about the ethical dilemmas you encounter while
volunteering? And exactly what do these organizations expect out of their
volunteers? These topics and more will be discussed.

Our panel includes the president of the Cambridge and Somerville Program for
Alcoholism and Drug Rehabilitation, the assistant director of volunteer
services at Boston Medical Center, the director of the MIT Public Service
Center and more!

MITService is the only general, student-run community service group on
campus. To learn more or join our mailing list, email mits-exec@mit.edu
