I-Banquet Chapter Meeting 5/9/09
Meeting Opened.
Thanks to Sarah for PCing I-Banquet and making all this delicious food.
This is the last meeting Matt has to run.
President's report: Kristin arranged office access for the elevated
pledges. Yay! If you get a new ID, talk loudly to CAC.
Form for NIBs are in the office, Nicole should get them and get them sent to
Nationals. NIBs need to pay $40 to Nicole.
SVP's report: Finals Cookie Baking, let Decker know if you're coming. 8pm
Tetazoo. Tuesday night of finals week, facepainting with kids 6pm, mail
will be sent. Finals Coffeehouse Sun-Wed the week of finals. BookEx
dropoff during Finals and during Senior Week. Remember, it helps the PCs a
lot if people sign up for things in advance!
MVP: We neophyted 7 pledges. They just got elevated. MVP has an outgoing
report in the Apoc. This concludes the pledging program, he's happy with
how it turned out. In a week or two we're going to start thinking about the
next pledging program!
FVP: There is food. This is the last brotherhood event. Unless brothers
want to have some fellowship around finals time. If you do, email Liz.
People who haven't filled out RFPs really should.
Treasurer: closing report is being passed around, it's being fixed.
Incoming officers should look at the budget.
AC: not here. She's hosed, check the Apoc.
PubDir: is dealing with family illness, hopefully things will get better.
Office Manager: at a concert choir thing.
Historian: will do rolls tonight.
ApocEd: there is an Apoc.
Advisor: Remember that summer disappears very quickly. Start summer
projects early so that they are well underway by Aug 1.
BookEx Comm: subPCs willl be getting detailed instructions soon. There will
be dropoff at Finals Coffeehouse and Wed-Fri of finals week, in the time
between finals. Also Senior Week. There will be manpower signups.

UMOC revamp committee: talk to Sophie if you're interested.
75th Reunion: hasn't met so far, is a long term committee for the reunion 2
years from now.
Big Screw is done. Except the screw needs to be fixed. Call for artsy
people, want to make a new one out of PVC... Vicki was interested in this.
The screw needs to be taken to the engravers. Najah was left in charge of
this aftermath. [added: I'm sending mail to her about this so it'll get
done.]
Nationals is closed.
Conclave, we haven't touched yet.
Rulescomm: amendments are getting churned out and are in the locker.
RulesComm will continue over the summer.
Coke fridge: there is no coke. there is no chocolate.
Memcomm will be active in the fall, over the summer. Talk to Amy. HArdcore
recruitment drive!
Matt thanks everyone. NIBs should really peruse committees, they're lots of
fun. Kristin should make a list of committees that NIBs can choose from.

Xavier was the secret Alphie chair. Samuel, the outgoing Mommy, gets a
towel, which is really useful as Latifa has just dumped water on him.
Sophie, Sgt@Arms, gets a cardboard tube samurai weapon, some reperence to
Penny Arcade, to beat people when they are leaving the room. Alioth,
ApocEd, gets the first two pages of a comic Xavier had promised her for the
Apoc. Liz, incoming PubDir, gets white streamers. Kristin gets a little
box that says "boom" on the outside, and on the inside says "a boom box can
change the world". Yay! Thank you Alphies chair!
New officers are installed.
Approved schedule of events for next semester: First chapter meeting of term
will be on Wednesday, the first day of classes, at 7:30pm.
A committee of the whole minus one is formed.
When the meeting reconvenes, the actions of the committee are approved.
Matt Goldstein is given his POO name:
Sketchy Vector of SCIENCE! POO.
Motion: On Nov 5th 2009 there shall be a Tigger Hunt on the Great Court,
where Tiggers shall be found a-plenty.
Discussion: tiggers are fuzzy and fun to play with.
