Hi APO,

My name is Stephanie Lyda, and I am a Family Service Specialist at the
Child Care Resource Center.=A0 I coordinate a group on Saturdays from 10
am -12 pm called Parents ROCK (Reading on Computers with Kids).=A0 It=92s
a group that focuses on family literacy and helping parents develop
the skills needed to support their children academically.=A0 We have 14
families all together, and we are looking for 1 or 2 male volunteers
to help out and give our kids a positive male role model to look up
to.=A0 Typically, our activities include, storytime, an art activity,
computer games, and board games or free play.=A0 The volunteer(s) would
help us to support the kids by helping them with their projects,
encouraging them on the computers, and modeling the behaviors for the
parents.=A0 We are looking for someone with previous experience working
with kids (ex. Coaching) who can help the kids become excited about
learning.=A0 In the past, we have gotten APO volunteers for events, but
I thought that I would check in with you to see if there was someone
in your organization who might be interested in this volunteer
opportunity?=A0 Our program runs until June 13th, and we are looking for
someone who could start on April 18th.=A0 We meet most Saturdays, and I
can go over the schedule in more detail if anyone is interested.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks.

Stephanie
