Chapter Meeting 2-25-09
Attendance: Matt (austein), Rebecca (rkw), Alex (adehnert), Piper (wings),

Alioth (kdrinkwa), Cat (catthu), Cristen (cristen), Mommy Sam (s_evans),

Meeting called to order at 7:42. It's the 3rd chapter meeting of term.
::Officer Reports::
President: this weekend, myself with piper, ellen, amy, and kristin went to
Leadership Development Day, where there were interesting classes and
workshops on things such as emailing, where apparently everyone else does
not know how to use email as well as we do. reminder to use your subject
lines wisely. also a workshop on officer transitioning, which we also do
okay on. had an effective meetings workshop: today the minutes are going to
have action items. the membership summit postponed to this coming sunday,
let me know if you're interested in going.
PVP: Turns out that the pledges that hadn't responded aren't continuing..
they're off the list now. Amber also has decided to depledge this semester.
Jennifer Tu has scheduled an Athena training for pledges and for the chapter
on March 11, which will be useful. Pledge Article Meal is scheduled for the
4th but might/will probably change.
BVP: contacted advisors about having advisor lunches, preference for
weekdays as opposed to weekends, want two or three lunches, maybe around
12:30 or so. Dumpling fry is this Sunday. there will be another Fellcomm
meeting after this meeting. we've also been working on making an online
version of what Brown started last term with tracking the brotherhood
requirements. Xavier is SFF (Super Formal Formal) PC, invites need to get
sent.
AC: no report. sending an attendance sheet. (interrupt for introductions)
APOcEd: next issue will hopefully be out by Dumping Fry. Send me things by
Friday at noon-ish!
Historian: there is a nifty little gallery online. when i have it fully
working i can let you know and you can pick out pictures and we can work on
a scrapbook with them.
Advisor: i don't have anything in particular to report this week
Bookex: So a lot of people didn't pick up their books or checks yet, and I
sent them a reminder email. The new official deadline is 10pm next week Wed.
At that point officially everyone's money and books will be donated to
charity.

resume, thanks Sarah for helping Matt make dinner, to Kristin and Amy to
come to EC and grab stuff.
SVP: Going to be poking around for PCs soon. I made a little questionnire to
fill out regarding service project dates because too many of them are on
Saturdays. Upcoming.. 3/7 walk for hunger poster-making if you signed up OR
you can volunteer for Spark. watch out for Jasmine's knitting project soon.
also Charles River Conservancy on the 14th. Sustainability project is 3/9.
Pubdir: absent
Big Screw has its first meeting, we now have people on publicity, setup, and
manpower. if you have ideas for candidates let big-screw know. Cristen needs
to get Lobby 10 for during CPW itself.
OM: we'll have staplers soon, we just ordered them. The floor got mopped
today. More office cleaning this Friday afternoon. we have little a little
plant that needs watering every once in awhile.
Nationals: report up in the locker if anyone wants to look. Matt needs to
send a version for the APOC.
::Other News/Announcements::
* 75th anniversary in about 2 years. There will be a committee for this. if
you will be an active next year, even better in two year's, highly
encouraged to join it. we'd love to have a reunion. will try doing something
even bigger if we wish, who knows! let austein know if you are interested in
doing this.
* The Conclave of Rock is coming up soon, 27-29th at the end of spring
break, it will be rocking! *sends around signup sheet*

* ice cream sandwiches in the coke fridge for 40 cents!
* we have edible food in our cupboard.
* humongous reuse pile somewhere down the hall from here.. where zev got a
supercomputer today. * matt had the dean for student life over today, and it
turns out he doesn't want to give us mandatory dining, and he doesn't finish
his vegetables.
