Exec Meeting 2-18-09
Attendance: cristen, kkuhn, catthu, ellen, austein, kdrinkwa, sophical,
mitchb, s_evans, schuhrke, nteague, jaxxson, ederegt
Starts at 9:03.
"I will be spending the night with my little." -Matt, about LD Day.
::Officer Reports::
President: I have no report.
SVP: I have no report. (There is a two-week gap without a service project,
maybe we can get something on our schedule.) Jasmine is starting up an
ongoing knitting project. Trying to get date finalized for retrofit project.
BVP: Black Morbid was pretty fun, feel free to write more bitterness on the
giant heart. I do not have much to report, I am dealing with advisor stuff
today. We have an SFF PC and a food sub-PC, jaxxson is trying to reserve the
BSC in Walker. Will let alums know when Fellowship Events are.
PVP: We have fifteen people on apo-pledges now (9 new pledges). Things are
now signed. I moved the Big-Little Study Break, everyone knows. The makeup
of the pledge class is encouraging - this represents a big accomplishment
for CPPC goals (we should try to keep them!). Now I will move onto the CPPC
items to improve pledging; Memcomm meetings will resume soon.
Treasurer: Pledge money check things on its way. We have about fifteen
actives (who have both paid and signed forms). We have all the bookex
checks. We have a negative balance in bookex, can't do anything about it
right now.
AC: We still have no mail. I've been updating the WUAPO as needed. It turns
out the weekly emails being sent out are actually seen as useful, so they'll
keep coming.
PubDir: absent.
APOcEd: no report. We found a stapler behind some of the stuff.
OM: absent.
Historian: *shows off scrapbook page*. Historian's Roll still looks the
same.. I just can't edit it, haven't been to the gallery recently. The
gallery is at apo.mit.edu/gallery, you can log in with the username apo (ask
for password).
Advisor: Lori's paperwork finally got registered at National after like 4 or
5 tries, but she's finally registered as an advisor.
::Committee Reports::
Bookex: Pickup is going smoothly.
Nationals: I have half of a report written up, I'll have the other half
written soon.
::Other::
Exec meeting times: Do people want to move it to 7:30 or keep it here?
Try moving them to 7:30pm Wednesdays.
Chapter meeting locations: We can look at reserving a room or multiple rooms
in W20 for next term's chapter meetings on Wednesdays at 7 or 7:30ish.
Pledge ceremony timing: We're unlike other chapters because we have more
pledge ceremonies. I have a feeling more people couldn't make ceremonies out
of apathy/work. Do we want to try just having one big pledge ceremony in the
future? Maybe scheduling them in advance and having additional ceremonies
for those who have conflicts might be useful. We'll look at this near term's
end.
CPW Volunteers: have not had a chance to talk to Admissions yet about
possible APO involvement.
Big Screw: need to reserve Techcash machine, Kristin will work with Mitch.
Need a Big Screw PC, catherio is interested as a sub-PC.
Meeting adjourned at 9:39pm. Next meeting two weeks from now at 7:30 in the
office.
