******
Proposed Spring Budget
******
There are copies of the proposed budget for next term at the meeting.
They are being reviewed.
Interest listed is wrong;
Membership could use more money than is currently listed;
APOc might be over-allocatted;
National Layaway fund isn't accurately represented;
BookEx should be separated out from the rest of the chapter expenses and
revenues;
The BookEx estimates are probably horribly wrong, but we'll be okay if
we keep them;

austein begins moving to propose an ammendment to allocate Membership
$450 (up from $350), but doesn't finish before discussion about the
budget as a whole begins again.

<uncertainty arises about proper proceedures>
<hilarity ensues. Okay, not really. It sucked and wasn't funny.>
Is it neccessary that we approve a budget today?
Do we have to sit here long enough to fix it, so we can approve it?
Can we table it?
If we move to approve it, second it, and vote not to approve it, does
that fulfill the obligation to approve a budget today?
(Not quotes, but similar to some of the things that were said)

<frantic searching through the bylaws>

-mitchb moves to approve the budget
-seconded

<frantic searching through bylaws and standing policies>

-mitchb motions to overrule the chair
-seconded

<more searching through standing policies and bylaws as people begin to
leave>

meeting goes into recess, due to loss of quorum, sometime around 2050
