FYI:
Physical Plant came by during my office hours today to respond to a
complaint that the room was too hot. After about 1.5 hours of
investigating, complaining about the ancient and decrepid filters, and
complaining about the stupidity of the buildng designer who didn't put
a real thermostat in the room, they concluded that they would need to
do some serious work to fix the problem. They may be back tomorrow to
replace the radiator fans and a V3300 valve top, which will probably
take a few hours and require moving office furniture. If anyone can
be around to help them if they have questions, etc., please do.
Currently, Dave's Desk 'O Doom has been moved out into the middle of
the office as it was impossible for the workers to get around or over
it to where the problem was. They mentioned they could probably get a
crane and wrecking ball to take care of the desk if we wanted....
