Reverse Trick-or-treating happened on 10/30, lead by Alioth.
Attendees: alioth, catthu, nteague, epower, lwest. It was fun.
Now there is a spreadsheet where the brotherhood committee is keeping
track of what the chapter has been up to. Feedback is encouraged,
especially considering I only guess at what people not= me do.
The chapter has been up to a lot! Almost 800 hours of service so far
this term -- good work, guys.
Upcoming -- we really quite desperately need a PC for SFF (Saturday,
Nov 15).
Not quite as urgent -- need a PC for I-Banquet.
I-Banquet -- printshop produced paper invites are going to be mailed to
alums for the first time in n time. woohoo!
Also, we need a cook for the next Chapter Meeting -- Thanks to Jessy
for taking care of it this time!

I have started dealing with the build up of treasury things I had been
punting that had resulted in the current situation with the accounts.
If anyone has specific things that they think I should be doing, they
should e-mail me.
*to be discussed further after officer reports*

I won't be at next week's exec meeting. Someone should volunteer to take

Elections are coming up again in a month. That's only 2 chapter meetings
from now.
I'd like to form a nomcom for the elections we'll be having in only a
month. Let me know if you're interested in helping.
Similarly, term is already quite a bit done. Officers should start
looking to see if there is anybody they think would make a good
replacement for them next term.
Other stuff:
sophical, one of our delegates, will be on the Marketing Commitee,
determining how APO will be presented to the public for the next few
years. If you have any opinions on that, you should let her know.

What's up:
A JV needs to be made from BookEx to MITSFS.
The check for the lost BookEx book needs to be issued.
The RFP backlog is being sorted out.
Money is being moved into the Chapter Funds Account.
Dues are being collected.
There is a deposit for a bounced check being made.
The pledge forms and checks have been mailed.
Sectional Account info needs to be requested for online banking.
Interest from the Endowment needs to be moved over into the Reserve Account.
The Reserve Account will be listed on the Donation Site in the next few
weeks.
The Debt List and soda dots will be taken care of in the next week or two.
austein: Our Reserve Account can only have 4 transactions every year.
Reimbursement checks from the chapter were mistakenly withdrawn from
that account instead of the normal chapter funds account, resulting in
the chapter using all four of those transactions.
mitchb: I move that it is not the intent of the Alpha Chi chapter of
Alpha Phi Omega to allow the use of our reserve account in the way it
has been used to issue routine reimbursements and that the chapter
wishes to reverse those charges and reassign them to one of its regular
accounts.
austein: Second.

National layaway fund.
***
*discussion*
It has $300 put in it every term, to be used for National Convention
every other year. This means we have $1200 for use at each Nationals, or
to not use, if we so choose. In the past, it's been used to pay for
transportation, the cost of registration, paying for banquets at
convention, rooms at convention, or things to make the voting delegates'
lives easier. This year, it's in Boston, so we won't need
transportation. But the banquets are $75. If we were to pay for banquets
for all 11 people going, it would cost $825. Also, it would be
convenient to have a hotel room for the chapter at the convention, for
people to leave their stuff in or crash in when they're exhausted. We
won't need a room for everyone, since it's right across the river from
their dorm rooms, but one room would be convenient. Rooms are $120 x 3
nights (after taxes).
austein: I move to allocate the National Layaway fund to pay for
banquets and a hotel room for 3 nights.
epower: Second.
*discussion*
Usually, a significant bit of the funds are usually used for
transportation, and it's very convenient that this year, we don't have
to pay for transportation. In future years, transportation may be more
expensive than the last convention. We could save the money for more
expensive conventions in the future.
We could start putting aside more each semester.
We could also allocate more money for this convention from places
besides the layaway fund, if we felt strongly enough about this.
