If people want to be eligible to vote on pledge elevations they should
pay dues by this coming weekend. NIBs need to make sure they've paid
their Initiation fees.Dues for pledges and brothers sans nibs are $35,
dues for nibs are $16, assuming they have paid their initiation fees.
I will send out an email after the meeting when I actually get a list of
people who have signed brotherhood forms.

ledges have been poked about skills and chairs notified.
I went through the apo-inactives list and fished out a couple people.
Lists should be 'correct' again.
Cat and I went to Conclave. It was exhausting but lots of fun. I had a
chance to talk with Heather from the national office and she had a few
suggestions and will be in touch to help with membership recruitment and
retention issues. A couple things that seemed particularly useful were:
Taking a survey when people pledge to find out how they heard about us,
why they joined, and what they want to do in APO. She's also going to
see about any resources for locating eagle scouts.
I also attempted to do away with the sectional dues our chapter pays
each year of $20. This failed, but got some discussion going about
having all the sectional money actually get used to benefit the brothers
rather than just sitting there.
The next Conclave will be at UConn in the Spring, followed by University
of Maine Farmington in the Fall.
Nationals legislation was discussed. I have some helpful cheat sheets
for our voting delegates. The legislation is available on the national
website at http://convention.apo.org except for the ritual changes for
the [redacted] ceremonies.
Speaking of Nationals, we currently have 11 actives planning on going,
it'll be great! If you'd like to come, let me know. I'll be sending
out registration info. We'll talk about funding shortly.
Our AAMDs are coming due just after the next time we meet. If you
haven't signed your brotherhood form (available three weeks ago) and
paid dues, please do so THIS WEEK.

Things are moving along. The sash job has been passed off to sewing and
silk-screening will be taking it soon as well. We're going to be
working to get manpower from other chapters next month. While working
Sergeant at Arms and Floor Services is lots of fun, we'd rather brothers
from AX get to see all of the convention and decide SAA/FS looks like
fun than feel pressured into it.

there is still one outstanding problem. We lost someone's
expensive shiny new 18.03 book and agreed to pay her back and it never
actually happened. This needs to happen ASAP.
Business:
We can't actually allocate money today, but we can discuss it so it can
happen faster later.
We have money for Nationals. Last time, the money paid for travel. In
the past, it's paid for rooms for brothers and stuff.
It's expensive. Registration is $75. The banquets are $75. They are
separate, so you aren't forced to pay for an expensive meal you don't want.
We could use $825 out of the $1200 to pay for the meals of all of AX's
brothers who are going.
It would also be cool to get rooms in the Sheraton for brothers to crash
and leave their stuff while they're at Nationals. Rooms are $125, we'd
want 3 nights. This is $375.
Paying for meals and rooms would use exactly the $1200 we've been alloted.
We can either spend it this way, find another way to spend it, or let it
carry-over til next year.
(Next Nationals will be in either Atlanta or Dallas)
Any other ideas for ways to spend the money?
The rooms are kind of small, but we don't intend to have people sleeping
there all night. Just crashing if they're too tired to get back to campus.
At next weeks Chapter meeting, we'll propose spending this money on
meals and one hotel room.
