*****BVP*****:
Your Brotherhood Committe is lwest, kkuhn, and ederegt.
We met and planned the following things.
*ederegt is making a board in the office with info about all the

brothers on it.
*lwest is organizing Mobbing Night on Thursday night 10/9. Be

there . . . or be sung to.
*lwest is organizing Having Food at Chapter Meetings. This only

works if people are willing to cook though. Email her to sign up.
*kkuhn, provided we get budget for this, will be providing healthy

food for the office table for snacking.
*The Brotherhood Committee plans to have informal APO gatherings

about once every 2 weeks or so.
*The Brotherhood Committee is going to help you keep track of your

progress toward brotherhood requirements by having an internal

repository of that information. This is also good for record-keeping.

kkuhn is PCing Steak Fry on Su 10/19. She needs a Food SubPC. Let her

know if you can help.

The Brotherhood Committee thinks it'd be sweet for chapter spirit if we

had APO apparel (hoodies, shirts, hats?). This could be an awesome

project for someone who knows silk-screening or wants to learn (chapter

skill!).

We also think it'd be sweet for chapter spirit if we had kickass robes

to wear during ceremonies. This would also be an ambitious project for

someone who knows sewing or wants to learn (chapter skill!).

Synchronization Issues! (I had to say it!)
-- Still working on the new pledge manual...It's getting closer!

5. I need help!
-- At this point in time it's looking like we will have about *eleven*

female pledges. I'd like a bigger pledge class...it would be a whole

lot more fun for me (and them! and you!) oh, yeah...and there is _one_

*****Treasurer*****:
We have a new budget that accommodates lwest's plans for doing cool

things with brotherhood.
*runs away*

*****AC*****:
We have no mail. The UA might be incompetent at sorting mail. I will

*****PubDir*****:
PubDir has not much to report. People should contact her if they'd like

her to do things.

*****Advisor****:
-Steak Fry is scheduled for the same time as the next chapter meeting.

How will that work?
-I think we're just having the chapter meeting before Steak Fry...
There's now a form we have to fill out every year for our tax-exempt

status, to let them know we're too small to care about. No one but the

treasurer needs to care.

*****BookEx*****:
0. I quit.

1. Book Exchange is over...hip hip hooray!
-- Aftermath Meetings are in process.
-- Minutes available upon request
---- Created time line guidelines for PC and each subPC
---- Revamp/Create training processes
-- Just throwing this out there...FIRST DAY OF THE EXCHANGE:
Huuuge number of people on the first day, hour, second
--> need at least 11 people to open

2. People were warned that Thursday was the last day to pick up books,

and they have *all* now been packaged up and sent out.
-- Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Nicole you rock!

3. Still some people to pick up checks.
-- We need the office hours put on the website so I can tell people

when we're open.
-- Update BookEx web page to tell people they can still pick up checks?

If you're interested in helping with the next Book Exchange, talk to

kdrinkwa, who's the new PC.

*****Nationals*****:
Nationals is in December. That's pretty close now. The committee's

probably sending us jobs for silk screening and printshop, so if you're

interested in getting involved with those, you should do that now.

-End of Reports.

New pledge policies and brotherhood requirements are handed out. The

only thing changed since last year on the pledge policy is the date.

The brotherhood requirements are basically the same.

Remember that brothers are required to hold office hours.
You should also attend at least 2/3 of the chapter meetings, and at

least one exec meeting.

Pledge Policy passes as written.
Brotherhood Requirements pass as written.

Brothers should all sign their brotherhood forms and return them to the

PVP mailbox.

We need to approve our Advisor list.
We need a Scouting Advisor, who is somehow associated with the Scouts,

an Institute Advisor, who's a professor or faculty.
There is a list of people, most of whom we've never met, a very few of

whom are very active and helpful.
It is silly that we just get this list and approve it every year, even

when almost all of the chapter has never even met them.
It would be cool if we could make a special effort to get advisors to

come to some event during the year, so people could meet them.
Ellen suggests we instead invite them to a regular weekly lunch in the

office, since they are more likely to be able to make that.
There are a few changes we need to make, including adding Lori (who was

accidentally was left off last time), and removing Joe, who is no

longer with us.
Motion to approve the list, plus Lori, minus Joe.
Motion passes.

We made a few changes to the budget, mostly giving the BVP more money.
Motion to approve the budget as written.
Motion passes.

There are other things we need to vote on, including voting on

delegates for Conclave. Conclave is the 24th-26th.
Is anyone other than austein planning on going?
*crickets*
There are about 30 pieces of legeslation this year, down from 2-3

hundred. It'll be nice.
We get 2 delegates. If anyone other than austein would like to go to

Conclave, let him know. He has both of our votes, unless someone else

wants to go and vote with him.

Nationals are coming up!
austein, k_french, ccrazy, jaxxson, sophical, jasminef, ederegt...

other people.
We need two voting delegates to go to Nationals. Most of the

fraternity's business for the next two years will be decided at this

meeting. Is anyone who's going to Nationals interested in being a

delegate? It's a lot of responsibility, but it's really fun, and you

get to tell people when they're being stupid. You don't have to come up

with legislation, you just discuss what they've already written up and

vote. We will discuss the current legislation as a chapter before

Nationals, so the chapter will already have an opinion that you'll be

representing.
The four people willing to be delegates are:
jaxxson, sophical, jasminef, and ederegt
Is anyone interested in being on a reference commitee, to discuss

specific stuff?
Motion to approve all four delegates, allow them to choose amongst

themselves who will represent us and tell Nationals they are

representing us, and then officialy vote them in at the next chapter

meeting.
Motion passes.

Announcements
