Hi Liz,
I hope you're well and had a splendid summer. We're gearing up again
for the in-school clubs, and looking for additional male and female
volunteers. We'll be working with 1st and 2nd graders, on a weather and
light curriculum, respectively. The final project for the 1st graders
will be building houses/structures that can withstand different weather
conditions, the 2nd graders will have a "light" party.
Volunteers are on site either Tuesday or Thursday (though they are of
course welcome to do both grades) from ~2:15 - 4 p.m. *Training starts
next week, so I would really appreciate your help spreading the word.
*I thought some of your APO folks may be interested.* As you saw last
year, the kids really love having volunteers in the classroom. New
volunteers can find additional information and the link to the
application at www.tinyurl.com/scfgvolunteeropps
<http://www.tinyurl.com/scfgvolunteeropps>. Additional questions can be
directed to the site coordinator, Anne Jennings at apj4c@virginia.edu
<mailto:apj4c@virginia.edu>. *
Take care and hope you have a great semester!
Sincerely,
Connie
