We want really cool frosh to hear about APO and think about pledging and
doing projects with us! We want to tell them about Bookex and Chapter
Weekend and community service! Some of them will find out about APO from
word of mouth, but the Activities Midway is a huge event where we can make a
good first impression, get a lot of information out to a wide audience, and
talk one-on-one with many frosh.
The Activities Midway is this Friday 4-6:30pm. We will have a booth with
propaganda and a short project that frosh can do right there- making
pinwheels. We can display these for International Peace Day on Sept 21-
http://www.pinwheelsforpeace.com/ and then sending them to children around
the world through http://uniteinpeace.org/7.html. Thanks to Sid for the
information about this.
What we need now are:
1. People to come help make awesome posters. We'll meet at 1pm Thursday in
the APO office and have tons of fun with markers and glitter and paper.
Please RSVP to me so I know I won't be all sad and lonely!
2. Sign up for the Midway booth at https://apo.chmrr.net/pc/28 (again,
disable javascript if the page gives you trouble). It's a great place to
talk to frosh! We'll meet at 3pm at the APO office to lug the UMOC booth
and signs to the gym and set up. 6:30pm-7pm will be cleanup.
