These are great opportunities to meet incoming freshmen and other prospectives and show them how awesome APO is. And if you haven't PCed anything in a while, or even if you haven't been active lately, the beginning of a new term is a good time to start again... Let me know if you're interested in PCing either of these. 9/10--Bikes Not Bombs Wednesday Volunteer Night (starting 6:30 p.m.) From their website: "Get your hands dirty with a wrench, flattening bikes to Loading a shipping container prepare them for international shipment, stripping bikes for parts, or sorting used parts. Sometimes special projects will come up on Wednesday nights, such as large mailings, carpentry, banner-making for events, etc." 9/13--American Heart Association "Heart Walk" Help set up and run the Heart Walk. Meet at 6:30 a.m.--yes, 6:30 a.m. Consider it an adventure, or an opportunity to early-shift yourself in preparation for classes. yilfs, --Sid
