Hello all. This is sort of an announcement of Semi-Fomal-Formal,
upcoming on Nov. 19, which is both a Saturday and two days before
my birthday. The plans for Semi-Formal are currently for it to begin
at 9. This may move to 8, but currently it is set for 9 pm. It
is now set to be at the East McCormick Penthouse, although I am having
Dave try to reserve me Talbot as well, because Talbot apparently has
much more room than does McCorrmick. Please give me your thoughts
on which of these two you would much rather have. (I know I asked
for ideas of where to have it earlier... now I am asking given a choice
which place would you rather have it in?) I will send you all
real announcements as soon as I figure all the small details out,
and this will certainly be next week. I am going to send email about
it, but I am also going to print invitations, and all the brothers
pledges, alumni etc that I have addresses for will get one. That should
be happening next week, probably to be sent out on Friday, a week before the
event. But I will send mail with a definite location and time before then
and the printed invitations will be, well, a reminder let us say. =-)
Speaking primarily to brothers and pledges... I am going to
need a few sub-PC's. These would be in the areas of music and food. I also
will need help from a few brothers to set up before hand, and we can figure
that out as time goes along.
So for right now, decide to go. =-) Its really fun, I had a good time
and you can ask Emily Wallis about the bear. Send me mail on which
place you would rather have it at. I like the idea of the McCorrmick
penthouse, but Talbot is also very nice and roomy.
I forgot to mention that this is a special Semi-Formal-Formal.
This has been an idea that has been floating around in the
chapter, and so I would like to see it happen. You can come
dressed in formal dress, or you can come in not so formal dress.
Or come dressed as a muppet. Or in a bathrobe. Or whatever.
A certain title caught my eye.
"Bathrobes and Bowties"
A come as you want to SFF
Anyway, I will send another announcement as SFF gets
closer. Send all comments, etc to me.
