Hey APO,
The pledge project this term is to put on a variety show for a group of
senior citizens at Ruggles' Assisted Living Community in Dudley Square. It
is the day after classes end: Friday, May 16th. We'll be meeting at 5:15pm
to head over to the place. More travel details later. The show officially
starts at 6pm, and we should be done before 7pm, and on our way back.
I'm planning on 30 or 45 minute show, so I need plenty of acts! What's going
on now:
Madrigal singing (contact Alioth)
Dramatic reading of a Shakespeare scene (contact sophical)
Swing Dancing (contact Brown)
Other ideas:
instrument playing
lip sync
narrated dramatic reading (someone narrates a short-short story, people act
it out)
improv?
sock puppets??
Also we're bringing snacks and diet sodas, so even if you fear the stage
worse than death, you can help us get stuff together/carry stuff over!
Please email me ASAP if you're interested, even if you have no idea what
you'd do!
